The Kettle Gourmet started out in July 2017 with the aim of redefining popcorn by innovating original flavours with a local twist. With one-of-a-kind flavours such as Chicken Rice, Teh Tarik and Ba Kwa, this inspiring brand is known for their superior quality, distinct aroma and exquisite taste.

Which university graduate would plan to be known as “The Popcorn Guy”? A company that sells flavoured popcorn seems like an unconventional idea for aspiring entrepreneurs. This was exactly the case with Zac Chua, the 27-year-old Founder and CEO of The Kettle Gourmet – Singapore’s thriving flavoured popcorn business.

Besides other quirky flavours like Teh Tarik, or Bak Kwa, The Kettle Gourmet also sells Chicken Rice popcorn so that you have your favourite local dishes in snack form. Upon opening the bag, you’ll likely be (pleasantly) surprised by how much it manages to capture the aroma of chicken rice.

While they initially started off with Salted Caramel popcorn, eventually they started experimenting with local flavours. Some of their best-selling flavours include Salted Caramel and Bak Kwa. The Bak Kwa-flavoured popcorn was sold out within days of release.
